Kaila Prescott,
has recently received a dual degree with a BFA in Global Film art from Emerson College and Paris College of art based in Paris, France. The intimacy of her cohort enabled her to gain proficiency with a variety of positions in pre & post production filmmaking. Thus broadening her range.
Kaila’s artistic language is defined by diversity & adaptivity that stems from her intersectional worldview as a queer Caribbean - American. Kaila’s filmography reflects this belief with her latest film, “The Angel’s Trumpet”, a mix-media animation.
With a collection of short films in her register, Kaila is a rising visual artist, constantly searching to expand her means of expression such as with sculpture & photography.
Kaila considers herself an artist by all definitions of the word.
